Hard to argue with this.

One could easily say that this has been Trump's America for 30 years now. For that time his name has been synonymous with douchebag capitalism and narcissism. Maybe it's not that Trump became president, but that the presidency came to him. The White House finally succumbed to the same low brow reality tv culture that the rest of the country has.

Trump obliterates whatever standards there were to becoming president. Literally anyone can take that White House now. Kim Kardashian. Any argument that she couldn't win would sound similar to the same arguments that Trump couldn't win. OJ Simpson could become president.

This is a component of the 21st century we weren't prepared for. We thought the future would bring us great advancements. Cures for diseases. World peace. An end to poverty. Instead, it brought us Donald Trump.
