The Goodlatte immigration bill - favored by conservatives and backed by Trump - fails in the House on a vote of 193-231 today.

41 House Republicans voted against it. It could have passed in the House without getting one single Democrat's vote, even with a loss of 21 votes on the Republican side of the aisle.

Trump has said earlier this week that he will not sign the more moderate GOP bill that will be coming up for a vote next. And the Paul Ryan compromise bill vote has been postponed until Friday. Trump has also said he will not sign that bill, even though it provides funding for his wall.

An immigration bill will most likely not pass during a mid term election year.

All God's children are not beautiful. Most of God's children are, in fact, barely presentable.

I never met anyone who didn't have a very smart child. What happens to these children, you wonder, when they reach adulthood?
