Did banning alcohol, sport betting, marijuana , prostitution work in the past the answer is a big NO.
None of these things are as dangerous as guns.
Besides, our criminal justice system is based on deterrence, not absolute eradication. Deterring mass shootings in any way possible would be worth the effort.
