Good Question. I guess just the thought of somebody killing his father is too much to admit....IMO its an ego thing. Truthfully after frankie was blown up and angelo screwed up killing casso Gotti tried desperately to make peace with Casso which showed me A. He was scared of gaspipe and B. He suspected the hit was meant for him
