Nah, the Pelecanos book I'm referring to is "Right as Rain".

I like reading stuff like Lehane and Pelecanos. It doesn't sugarcoat the racial stuff. It's a realistic, and empathetic, portrayal of the way white people and black people see each other.

Ok I haven't read that one but I see it's set in the same universe as Soul Circus with Derek Strange. I'll have to check it out. Pelecanos is almost always on point, he's written some of the best episodes of The Wire, and The Deuce is also great. I'm a Boston guy so you can bet I'm a big Lehane fan too.
