They are surrounded by trusted people,but the main thing is that they are protected by masonic lodges and secret services. Matteo Messina Denaro's father died from heart attack while on the run,they never caught him. His father started working as armed guard for D'Ali family,Antonio D'Alì Sr. to be precise,they were founders of the Banco Sicula,biggest private bank in Sicily,Antonio D'Alì Sr. was member of P2. His son Antonio D'Alì is a senator,who was pictured meeting with mafia members months ago.In April 2001 he was under-secretary at the Ministry of the Interior,responsible for fighting organised crime.

Camorra have secret bunkers and tunnels but its mostly 'Ndrangheta thing.
