Why does Starbucks use green cups? Well, green is the color of grass. Where do you find grass? Certainly, in white peoples' neighborhoods. Where don't you find grass? You don't find it in asphalt and cement covered ghettos where most black people live. Obviously, Starbucks green cups are meant as a welcoming nod to white people. But get this: verdant landscapes sometimes turn brown. So, that is Starbucks way of acknowledging Hispanics as a welcome customer component. Of course, even the lushest of green lawns sometime sprout daisies which are yellow. Guess to whom that's a welcoming nod.
