I'm sure once he flipped the feds let him keep a lot of his money. Pay some small fines, but keep most of his millions in exchange for testimony. Wikipedia says he filed for bankruptcy in 2013 though, so maybe he blew it all and that's why the house was sold?

I guess the FBI have to let them keep a very hefty part of their illicit gains, as these people are hardly going to start breaking the habit of a lifetime and make an honest living once they're let off the hook.
