A mafia supergrass who turned informant after her husband was killed by the Sicilian mob has won a seat in the Italian government - despite not being allowed to show her face in public. Piera Aiello, 51, had to do her campaigning as candidate of the anti-establishment Five Star Movement behind closed doors as her face cannot be shown in public for fear of mafia reprisals.
