I commend gotti for keeping his mouth shut but his stupid rule against pleas that involve the admittence of LCN/the gambino family ruined his family. The Genovese and Luccheses try to play ball and plea to lesser deals so they spend 5-10 years inside then back out instead of going to trial and getting life.
Ironically, it was his own brother and best friend who were hurt the most by this unrealistic edict. They will finish their sentences later this year as septuagenarians for chrissake!! Very unnecessary indeed..
