[How old do you think they are you go in at 20 retire at 40. So they are not old. What do retired cops do they work in security in shopping malls or they become handy men. Why not work in a school.
All the more reason they should be required to work an addition 10 years to qualify for a pension. 20 on the beat, 10 at the desk, unless they choose to stay on the beat. Taxpayers should not be funding pensions for people retiring in their 40s. That's ridiculous. We're turning the law enforcement officer into a luxury job.
