Yes, that's right. The black community that was present lived in an area near downtown until after WW2. They generally moved to South LA.

Thanks i wanted to share it not just for the black migration but everyone else as well. I viewed the Mississippi whites and was surprised that a large share went to California. Matter of fact Arthur Harper was the 26th mayor of Los Angeles and originally from my hometown in Mississippi.
