The garment district guy Pappadio had a fucked up death. When he walked into the building he was about to get killed in, Carmine Avellino said "Surprise! Look who's here!". Then he was bludgeoned, shot in the head and still didn't die straight away.

During that Amuso/Casso period the Luchese's had a few hits where the bodies were never found. The killings of Jimmy Hydell, Buddy Luongo, and Pappadio. Even with all the informants there has never been any info on what happened to their bodies. It's interesting how compartmentalized some hits are. You got the guys who set them up, the killers, the guys who clean up, and the guy who deposes the body.
