Some of the wealthiest old Italian men my father and grandfather knew lived very modest, if not for there wife's these men would have lived even more modest.
I I mean tan khakis and a white tee shirts stained from whatever they enjoyed weather making wine or doing little projects .
Some did not drive or own a car of there own , of course the children were driving some very nice vehicles.
I wonder why they didn't live it up?
Because they had / have there head on straight, if there were more like them it would be a lot more of a secret society like it was supposed to be .
