I don't have much experience here, but I can't keep my mouth shut, so here goes.

It seems that the default assumption is that racism is a factor anytime a white person interacts with a black person. The assumption is of course one-way, the black person is always a victim and the white person is always a perpetrator.

Believe it or not, I have written and re-written this post several times to avoid any misinterpretation. The fact that I have to worry about that, even though my account is a throw-away email account, says something.

Racism is real, but its not one-way, and its not acknowledged in many cases.
