If that's fergie's bubble, then it needs bursting. How can a person be an adult anywhere in the world and not say racism doesn't exist and not live in a bubble? What we can say is that today's racism is nothing like the racism of the past when it was part of not only America's legal system, but that apartheid was legal in South Africa and Rhodesia, and slavery was still legal in the Muslim world. It's fair to say that progress has been made, but the job isn't complete (and I'm not sure it ever will be, considering human nature).
