well, not sure what to say but 20k owed is not the end of the world. main thing is to some how make sure that you're not piling up charges / penalties on top of the money. need to come up with a repayment plan with the people you owe but got to tell them they can't expect you to keep paying charges upon charges so that the "principal ' never goes down.

here in the UK we are bombarded with gambling adverts, and i mean bombarded. Especially if you're watching / listening to sports.
Equal to that are the payday loan adverts with apr's of 1150%.

mob guys go to prison for gambling /loan sharking but they should put on suit and tie , have dot co at the end of a name and they'll get venture capital money.

## have to add that up until 15 odd years ago, if you went to a casino or bingo hall, you were only allowed entrance / membership after 24 hours if you wasn't already a member. This was to curtail people acting on impulse. Sadly everything is geared towards corporate interests now. Which is why betting shops have proliferated in last 15 years. With their FOBT machines.
Hardly anyone in the bookies is betting on the dogs, horses. mostly the fobt's. open from 7am to 10pm nowadays, absolutely disgusting that uk governments allow it.
