The cocaine was hidden in numerous pieces of quartzite stone that were shipped from Argentina on pallets.

The method used for concealment was to cut a piece of stone in half to pack a brick of cocaine. Not all the quartzite stones contained cocaine.

The largest brick found was 6 kg. Most bricks were 1 kg.

The importation appears to have started in 2014. This most recent seizure occurred at the beginning of May.

Law enforcement seized the contents of storage facilities and warehouses in north Toronto, Brampton (suburb outside of Toronto), and Stoney Creek (also in Ontario).

Although Ontario was the destination for the cocaine, law enforcement believes the coke would have been distributed in other parts of Canada.
