Yes indeed, TIS--sax men were the unsung heroes of Doo Wop. Nearly all the pbeat Doo Wops featured a terrific sax break. The sax players were never credited on the records, but some of them were giants, including Sam the Man Taylor, Big Al Sears and Junior Walker.
