One thing that jumped out at me right away was the claim that Greg Scarpa Sr. never became a Capo but was always a soldier with a crew of his own of 50 guys.

I've never heard of him never being a Capo. That can't be true could it?


In Deal with the Devil, it explains that he was a capo but wanted to take heat off myself by only identifying as a solider, he was a Persico loyalist or so he pretended to be and hes been around forever one of the most feared and from what I understand an earner. I believe he definitely most likely was a capo and Larry Mazza said he was a capo I belive in his book.
