Ward-Kovalev II was not free of controversy but may cement Ward as the #1 P4P fighter today. I want to digest it a bit more before making such a proclamation myself (I had Terence Crawford as #1 P4P beforehand).
congratulations to Andre Ward. imo he deserves the p4p #1 slot. the Andre Ward haters are mad. no excuses!
After contemplation, I ultimately agree that Ward has earned the #1 P4P spot.
FWIW, my P4P list is;
#1 Ward
#2 Crawford
#3 GGG
#4 Loma
#5 Chocolatito
#6 Canelo
with a pretty steep dropoff after that. Those top 6 though are very close, where I think I could elevate any to the #1 spot with a dominating performance over a worthy foe.
