Here's another example of history repeating itself. In the 1930s and 40s, the senior Muslim religious leader of the British Mandate of Palestine was the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Amin al-Husseini. He didn't just have business interests with Hitler, but he conspired with Hitler to commit genocide against the Jews.
