It really was the perfect role for him too. I couldn't tell if he was acting or just being himself. Even though I don't care for Sinatra, the man, it was pretty awful to hear all that derogatory language directed at his character.

Great cast. Excellent movie.


I saw this for the first time a couple years ago. You're right - excellent movie. The role was perfect for Sinatra, but what really made an impression was what a beast Ernest Borgnine was. I had only seen him as an old man before seeing this.
