If you pursue a role partially because it involves intimate scenes with an attractive actress, and you know she is underage, then yes you are a paedophile. And I wouldn't be surprised if he has slept with underage women before.

"She lied about her age," is typical victim blaming. Same as "She dressed like a 30 year old," or "She looked 21,".

The pertinent thing here is that he knew she was underage and pursued her for the role anyway.


I read a bit of the twitter exchange between Alec and the producer. IMHO the producer didn't produce a slam dunk case that Alec knew the actress' age. Anyone can read it for themselves. To prove that Alec knew, the producer taunts him with something like "but she just finished a movie called 13, how could you not know?" To me, that doesn't make his case against Alec.
