If Deuteronomy 13:6-10 was every followed, it was rare. The OT is full of examples of Hebrews and Israelites who went after other gods and were not killed. Nothing happened to them at all. As for Christians, death for apostasy wasn't practiced either, except possibly during the Inquisition. The Inquisition was primarily a Roman Catholic response to the Islamic conquests, by the way.
