Two individuals listed as staff on this company's webiste have had a previous connection--perhaps still an existing one--to one or two companies involved in cannabis production. This may or may not have relevance with respect to the motives for the shootings and to the targets themselves. We may find out more if the male victim, who survived, is identified.

In the past week, there have been raids across Canada of marijuana dispensaries considered to be illegal. Again, this may or may not have any relevance.
