I don't know if the original Meldish thread is still active or viewable but I'm pretty sure Pizza said the hit was nothing to do with LCN because nobody would sanction a hit in the neighbourhood where it took place. His reasoning was that too many high ranking guys live there and they wouldn't sanction it too close to home.

It makes/made sense, but these guys don't always do things by the book. Or maybe he was just trying to divert attention away from it which I totally understand. This isn't a tirade against PB, I respect him and miss his posts.
