The "hook" thing was a myth. It actually referred to juice loans, i.e. LaPietra had a guy on "the hook" for 5k.
I dont know if he already had the name before this torture/murder of a bookie they were making an example of or not...
but there was a murder i believe he was involved in where they tortured the guy on the meat hook for days...im a lil hazy on the details but I tihnk there was someone that testified of this
