I was one of those who contacted the United States Treasury to leave Hamilton alone and get rid of Jackson, and I also supported Harriet Tubman as his replacement. Jackson, the founder of the modern Democratic Party, was known as a slaver, a racist, a warmonger and a general bully who was responsible for the Trail of Tears that forced Native Americans to march from the southeast United States to what is now Oklahoma, causing about 10,000 Native deaths. Harriet Tubman, on the other hand, was an escaped slave who saved the lives of over a hundred slaves by risking her own and despite a lifelong injury from a beating; she was an abolitionist and encouraged President Abraham Lincoln to abolish slavery; worked as a cook and a nurse for the Union Army during the Civil War; pushed for the right for women to vote; and was a Christian active in the AME church. If anyone deserves to be on the $20 bill, it's her.
