Does anybody remember the story with Simone and the shoes?..I recall it had something to do with him and his wife. Forgot where I read it, maybe Gravano's book?
Johnny Keyes told his wife that he promises 2 never die w/ his shoes on.. b4 execution, he asked sammy if he could take his shoes off,thus holding true 2 his wife ..a loyalty. Sammy respected this honor & called johnny a man's man.
