I've been reading this blog earlier today

It seems to implicitly state that there is some 45 minutes of footage from the first film that's never been seen by the public, and some TWO HOURS of stuff from part II, including much footage actually shot showing Vito post Sicily building his empire in New York and introducing a teenage Sonny to the business and 90 mins of footage AFTER Micheal kills Fredo - is this true, was this footage actually shot?

And was the beating of the Bonasera's thugs actually shot?

What I wouldn't give to see this stuff.

Sonny - Well then, business will have to suffer, all right? And listen, do me a favor, Tom. No more advice on how to patch things up, just help me win, please
