It's a serious cat and mouse game. That outside time helps you come into contact with way more contraband and also money. Plus if you get in good with your boss, he'll bend the rules for you. My boss always let me do whatever and would get me food any time I wanted it.
Damn, I didn't know certain prisoners could move so freely. Did you ever get bothered by the other prisoners about those privileges?
