Well put, NickyWhip. It's similar to that load of horseshit about the American Mob "keeping the neighborhoods safe." Meanwhile they were shaking down sixty year old immigrant fruit peddlers and shoemakers.

I grew up in Belmont in the '60 and '70s. I'm well versed about the life and the neighborhood wiseguys. And it was a very safe neighborhood back then. But it had nothing to do with the mob. It was xenophobia that kept us safe. Just telling it like it is (or was, anyway).
