Phil Rizzuto (Scooter) and Yogi were teammates for 10 years. In his later-illness years Rizzuto was in an assisted living home not far from Yogi's home town. Everyday Yogi went to visit Rizzuto. They would play cards until Rizzuto got tired. Yogi would sit by his beside and hold Scooter's hand until he fell asleep. When asked why he did this, Yogi simply answered, because we were teammates.
