They refer to almost every mobster they arrest as a boss of some sort....boss of a crew...whatever
they especially call captains bosses routinely in their fancy headlines...which technically they are right...but the way they are trying to portray it is different than that
Exactly. They're "stretching" the truth. By about five hundred yards. Same goes for when they use the term Lieutenant. It has no place in mob journalism today. Just say top aide, or fucking right hand man. But they've been misusing that word in relation to the street for a hundred years. Enough already.
