You know, there was a psychopath who actually kept that insane asylum of a country contained for eons. Too bad Dubya took his head off and we're paying for it.

It's weird how Bush Sr. foresaw the very thing his boy clearly didn't. People crucified Bush Sr. for not going into Iraq and "finishing the job." But he knew better. Nevermind he had no international consensus/alliance to do that, but he understand that if the Iraqi state was to collapse, there would be chaos that the U.S. forces would be forced to deal with and Iranians would use that opportunity to exert influence over the Shiite community in that country.

A Republican wise/sane with foreign affairs? Would love to see that exist again, instead of simply reactionary posturing.
