I honestly doubt voting for either party would do anything better for blacks. Historically Blacks been voting republicans since the reconstruction era and yet had to deal with the Jim Crow laws (nationwide). The welfare system coupled with the development of housing projects along with cultural/institutional discrimination forged the situation for generations. The situation is no doubt affected by politics but more so with residential & commercial attitude that possibly could of prevented some of the decline with those communities. I'm honestly not that political savvy but I would think most of my people should just vote & stay independent.
