I always thought the reason for the civil war was other things besides slavery. I would believe it was because of the cheap labor that slavery represented.
Cheap labor like Mexican labor maybe that is our slavery today cheap labor. Plus getting Mexicans and people on welfair and other public assistance to vote democrat. To keep their gravy train from stopping.
People in politics were fucked up then, and their still fucked up today.
