Look, FFC's screen play sometimes significantly departs from the novel. The novel makes it clear that A was in the car because she was going to drive it a few feet to show Michael her driving. There's nothing in the novel about F asking Michael if A was going with him. Apparently, either F never expected A to be in the car or he had no qualms about murdering A.
