American Pharoah outclassed the field. It really wasn't much of a field (kind of like watching Joe Louis fight the bum of the month). AP wasn't pushed and he let up (almost a little TOO much) but it's plain to see that he is quite an impressive horse.
Fifty years from now, the name "American Pharoah" will be mentioned in the same breath with "Secretariat," "Affirmed," "Seattle Slew," "Citation," and a maybe a dozen other horses.
Just as long as he, and the others are mentioned AFTER Secretariat.
