You're not thinking at all. It's total apples and oranges as drug cartels don't have a fraction of the influence in the US they do in Mexico. This would never happen here. It's sort of like not trusting the Pakistanis to capture and hold Bin Laden once we knew he was in their country. Same principle here.

You don't just demand and tell other countries what to do. That is his point. Has nothing to do with the effectiveness or the criminal justice system.
