I like that idea Mark lol a quarter could buy you a candy bar, cost only 2 cents for bazooka gum, 15 cents for a scoop of Thrifty ice cream...change went a long way for a kid
We had a small grocery store literally just steps behind our house. We constantly went to buy candy. Candybars 5 cents; gumball a penny. One time I spent my whole "quarter" allowance on a bottle of nailpolish (without permission). I made a big mess on my fingers/toes and the porch. My mom sent me to get my money back. Ha ha ha, which of course they wouldn't do with an opened messed up bottle.
