Scam. I had insurance against theft and my phone got stolen. I had to prove it got stolen, by sending the insurance company paperwork from the police. Even after that it wasn't enough to get my money back. Apparently the circumstances in which my phone was stolen was not a reason for them to refund my phone. Waste of paying a year of insurance.

I agree. I was just asking to see what everyone else thought. To me, it's on par with car rental insurance.

The big four here in the U.S. (Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T) all charge roughly $14 a month for coverage. Now, if you take a two-year contract, that's an extra $336 right there. Plus, there's a deductible.

I'd rather invest thirty or forty bucks into a high-quality case and take my chances. And if you LOSE your phone, then, I'm sorry, but that's on you lol.
