Btw, the plastic over the furniture. OMG, my mom. Our living room could only be used when we had company AND it would take an act of Congress (mom) to God forbid eat in the living room.
I am sure I'm not the only Italian who grew up with the basement fixed up like another house, with kitchen, family room, bathroom, bedroom, etc.
