ive read many books about joey gallo, the best one being 'JOEY' by Donald goddard, and he researched pretty good, joey was a big mouth bully. he was feared in red hook but, never respected. pete Hamill wrote about him, and said he always wanted to be like Richard widmark in "kiss of death"

when he went in front of congress, dressed all in black with dark glasses, that told most people that he was an attention seeking moron.

he went to prison for 9 years for shaking down some cheap check cashing joint, he was never smart enough to run himself , much less a family.

he was nothing all his life but a disaster.
