Yeah it isn't rare for a Slayer gig to see people being carried away after suffering multiple injuries The same goes for Machine Head, Lamb of God, Soulfly, Devildriver, Hatebreed, Madball and -believe it or not- Godsmack when I saw them live. Absolute anarchy and destruction during all of those gigs: people had their earrings ripped out, hands crushed, limbs dislocated,... During a Lamb Of God gig a friend of mine broke both bones in his right forearm. Korn, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Motorhead and Stone Sour were all much much tamer when I saw them. Especially compared to the ones I named above.
Now I'm not a metalhead, especially not in my clothing style or my social circle. I love listening to all of those metalbands I just named, but you'll catch me listening a lot to other music genres as well. Especially when it's sunny I'll listen a lot to old school hip-hop such as Eazy-E, Westside Connection, Cypress Hill, Dr Dre's The Chronic 2001,... Cypress Hill's III: Temples of Boom is genius.
