SQUARE ENIX TRADEMARKS 'WORLD OF ASSASSINATION' AND 'PUZZLE SOCCER'

Square Enix has filed two trademarks which appear to shed light on a pair of new projects the Japanese company is planning to publish.

The first trademark is for something called "World of Assassination," which fans of IO Interactive's popular stealth-action franchise are probably hoping is the subtitle of the next installment in the Hitman series.

Considering the favorable critical reception Hitman: Absolution received when it launched back in 2012, I'd say fans are due for a proper follow-up.

The other trademark is for "Puzzle Soccer," and based on the name alone, one could speculate it's a game for mobile devices. After all, Square Enix has been making a major push in the smartphone and tablet space for quite some time now. IGN Logo
