See that's the thing about movies not everyone likes the same thing. Didn't you think it had a happy ending? I did my wife didn't. I do think they should have named the movie the Explorer.


Like many similar movies, it failed to move or even strike a response other than meh from me, the subject matter has been completely mined for its emotional worth and i'm even past the point of finding it funny like you do. Hollywood has dealt with the Holocaust; ad naueseum, the last 'War Weepy' that gained any emotion from me about the subject was The White Ribbon, which was made by Michael Haneke a directer that holds open contempt towards his audience (see Funny Games).
