Yeah his defense was laughable you're right. The only reason theyd be willing to deal in my opinion is to avoid the time and state expense to try this case. I can guarantee as someone w experience in a prosecutors office that theyre gonna deal with murder 2 or 3 or as an accessory. Im not sure was he charged as the actual shooter w first degree murder?
