You did the right thing. You have nothing tying you down in the City or Long Island, the cost of living is peanuts compared to what it is down here, and the solitude is very inviting.

My brother just turned 50 himself. He's a hunter (I'm not, although I have done it), and he has a cabin in Liberty. But he bought it when he was still in his 30's. I've used it before, and I'll say this much, it's nearly impossible to get stressed out up there.
